SPRINGFIELD, TN – Firefighters rescued a small child and an adult following a major rollover crash in the Springfield area on Tuesday night.
According to Smokey Barn News, the crash occurred at about 11 p.m. near the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and South Pawnee Drive.
Investigators believe the unidentified driver left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a bridge, causing the vehicle to roll down an embankment and land in a creek.
The driver and their 8-month-old passenger were trapped in the vehicle while hanging upside down. Firefighters were able to pull the two victims to safety with only minor cuts and bruises.
