NASHVILLE, TN – One person has died and three others have suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash involving a school bus Monday afternoon.
According to WKRN, the fatal crash took place on Dickerson Pike at Lemuel Road at 3:16 PM on November 22nd.
The driver of a Nissan Rogue attempted to turn left onto Dickerson Pike from Lemuel Road and collided with a Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound. The school bus then crashed into the Volkswagen Jetta. There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta unfortunately died at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Nissan as well as the bus driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. All three were transported to Skyline Medical Center.
Metro police state that the Volkswagen’s excessive speed and the Nissan’s failure to yield both contributed to the crash.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and Metro police continue to investigate the fatal accident.
