NEW JOHNSONVILLE, TN – A water rescue is underway after a jet ski accident at a popular boating spot early Friday morning.
According to WKRN, the accident occurred in Lucas Harbor around 4:00 AM on December 3rd.
A boater reportedly requested help after his boat ran aground. Another person picked the boater up on a jet ski. While heading back out to retrieve the boat, the jet ski flipped and both people fell into the water. One person has still not emerged.
The condition of either person is unknown.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is currently assisting with the water rescue. They ask that boaters avoid Lucas Harbor until the rescue is complete.
