NASHVILLE, TN – An elderly man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a driver who fled the scene on Friday, WZTV reports.
The fatal hit and run occurred at the intersection of Westchester Drive and Devonshire Drive in the Bellshire Terrace neighborhood of north Nashville at about 5:15 p.m. on Friday, May 7. Police say that a white Chevrolet Impala hit the 72-year-old man from behind while he was traveling in the roadway, in an area that has no sidewalk.
A search for the vehicle and its driver is ongoing. Anyone with any information about the incident should contact Metro Nashville Police immediately.
