    One killed in mobile home fire in Rutherford County

    RUTHERFORD CO., TN – One person has died after a fire broke out in a mobile home in Rutherford County Tuesday morning.

    According to News Channel 5, the fire broke out at a mobile home located in the 1300 block of Murray Kittrell Road the morning of October 19th. In addition, a water main burst and the area surrounding the home flooded.

    Another resident returned home and discovered the body of a family member in the wreckage. Their identity and exact cause of death has yet to be established.

    The cause of the fire and the break in the water main remain unknown.

    The Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the fatal incident.

    Over 100 people evacuated after apartment fire in Belmont

    NASHVILLE, TN – At least 100 people were evacuated after a 76-unit apartment fire in the Belmont area on Monday night.

    According to WKRN, the fire broke out at 9:30 PM at the Belcourt Park Apartments on Belcourt Avenue. The fire began in a communal area on the first floor of the building.

    The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time. However, the building sustained heavy water damage, forcing Nashville Electric Service to cut the power.

    Over 100 people were evacuated from 76 units. The American Red Cross was brought in to assist the displaced residents.

    It is unclear if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the fire.

    Crew hospitalized after fire engine overturns

    NASHVILLE, TN – An entire Nashville Fire Department crew has been hospitalized after a fire engine overturned Tuesday night. 

    According to WSMV, the fire engine overturned on Briley Parkway West near the Whites Creek exit at 9:15 PM on September 21st. The crew reportedly did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, and all members are in stable condition. 

    The events leading up to the accident remain unknown.

    3 injured in apartment fire in Columbia

    COLUMBIA, TN – Three people were injured in a fire that broke out at an apartment building in the West Meade area of Columbia yesterday, WKRN reports.

    Firefighters received multiple reports of a fire having broken out at a nine-unit apartment located at 132 Brannon Court on Tuesday morning. They arrived to find flames pouring out of the building, and quickly began pulling trapped residents from the blaze.

    Three people were hospitalized following the incident, including a 64-year-old woman who is recovering from critical injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

    According to WKRN, about 30 firefighters from six companies responded to the two-alarm blaze.
