    According to a report by Total Traffic Nashville, the accident took place shortly after noon within the westbound lanes of the interstate, near the Elm Hill Pike overpass.

    The circumstances leading up to the crash are not mentioned in the report. However, the two left lanes and right shoulder were blocked by tractor-trailers for some time afterward.

    Nearly 400 without power after tractor-trailer crashes on I-40

    NASHVILLE, TN – Hundreds were left without power after a semi-truck careened into a utility pole on I-40 early Thursday morning.

    According to WTVF, the incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. near Exit 205 to White Bridge Pike.

    Police say a sweeper truck was attempting to dump its contents into a dump truck when it backed into the power lines. The nearby pole was snapped down, causing the lines to lane in the roadway.

    No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, officials with Nashville Electric Service reported about 400 outages afterward.

    Head-on crash in Rutherford County leaves 1 dead

    RUTHERFORD CO., TN – One person died and two others were hospitalized following a collision on Manchester Highway last Thursday afternoon.

    According to WKRN, the collision took place at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection with Hoovers Gap Drive.

    Police say the driver of a Chevrolet Express van crossed the center divider for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into a tractor-trailer.

    Overturned box truck blocks ramp from I-440 to I-40

    NASHVILLE, TN – An overturned box truck shut down a busy on-ramp in East Nashville on Thursday.

    According to a report by Total Traffic Nashville, the accident occurred at about 7:23 a.m. along the ramp from westbound I-440 to eastbound I-40.
