RUTHERFORD CO., TN – One person died in a single-vehicle accident on I-24 in Rutherford County Friday afternoon.
According to WKRN, the fatal crash occurred on I-24 near Joe B. Jackson Parkway around 4:50 on December 17th.
The events leading up to the accident are unclear at this time. Authorities have not released an official cause of the crash.
One person reportedly died at the scene. It is unknown if any other people suffered injuries.
The eastbound and westbound lanes of I-24 were shut down until 6:30 Friday evening.
Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
