SMYRNA, TN – Five residents have been displaced after a single home structure-fire in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to WSMV, the fire broke out in a home located in the 100 block of Vanderford Lane at 3:18 AM on November 1st.
The Smryna Fire Department witnessed heavy smoke coming from the house upon arriving at the scene. Luckily, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage area.
The Fire Department determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, but the source remains unknown.
The five residents escaped the structure without any significant injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
